Each course is different; given there are actually various routes to choose from based on your decisions. The course will range from 3 miles to 5 miles. Obstacles distances will vary.
Finish time widely vary but the average person takes around 2 hours.
There will not be any mile markers along the course but to give you a clue…each water station is about 1 mile from each other.
There are at least 5 water stations along the course.
No although it is recommended. There might be areas on the course that require you to swim but there will be guide ropes and lifeguards in those areas. There will also be alternate routes for those who do not wish to swim.
We are a mixture of a standard Mud Run/Obstacle Course and Adventure Racing. We will not be publishing our routes prior to the race to ensure that the adventure is part of the fun.
No, there is no time limit. Though we will be removing anyone who can not complete the course before sundown.
The mud/water depth is different from each obstacle to the next, mostly ranging from one to eight feet deep.
If you are participating in the competition heat, you must give each obstacle three attempts. After that, you may continue the race. Failure to complete an obstacle will disqualify you from the trophy prizes. Non-competition heats may go around any obstacle, though you may want to ask your buddy for a lift.

Yes. Photos will be posted and available for SMALL fee on the Mudocalypse website within 7 days of the event.
Mudocalypse gear and merchandise can be purchased and picked up the day of the event.

There will be an awards ceremony for the Competitive heat only. Standard entry participants will be awarded a unique Challenge Coin at the end of the race.
You are not allowed to bring your own food or alcohol on-site. You are allowed to bring two bottles of water or a hydration system to hydrate on the course.
There will be paramedics and/or EMS personnel at each event.
Yes. Results will be posted on the Mudocalypse website within 48 hours of the event. In some cases results will be broadcast on our website as soon as 30 seconds from the time you cross the finish line. This is dependent on a stable internet connection at the race site.
Each participant will receive a timing chip that is secured on your person that will record your time.
Yes participants 21 and older will receive 1 free beer upon completion. You must have your wristband (will receive at packet pick-up) on and you must show ID. No ID or wristband = NO BEER

Mudocalypse is privately held by three partners from Indiana. We have 30+ combined years of military service with multiple combat deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. We have been apart of hundreds of missions that include the direct protection of the former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates. We pride ourselves on precise planning and the ability to adapt and overcome any obstacle (no pun intended) placed in front of us. We have been planning and rehearsing for Mudocalypse Mud Run for our entire career in the Military.

The minimum age to participate is 16 years and up by day of race/event. Those under the age of 18 must have a Non-Liability waiver signed by a parent/guardian.

Report to the registration area, sign your race waiver, pick up your race packet, then check your keys and/or ID in our bag check area if needed.
Packet pick-up is where all participants must “check in” and pick up their packet. Your packet includes your timing chip, t-shirt, wristband, race and sponsor information. Your photo ID is required at packet pick-up.
Yes, but you will need the following items:
- A copy of your friend’s photo I.D.
- A signed consent form from your friend stating that you are allowed to pick up their packet.
- Or have your friend email us at Mudocalypse Support prior to picking up the packet with your name and we will keep them together.
Yes. During the online registration process you will be asked to sign a waiver and you will sign the waiver at packet pick up.
The final date for online registration is fourteen days prior to the event. On-site registration will be available at packet pick-up. We will, however, take your registration on the day of the event at premium pricing…in other words….don
A registration fee between $50 and $100 per person (dependent on when you register) is required at time of registration.
During registration you will be asked to select which time block you would like to race. You can register for morning (8:00am – 12:00pm) or afternoon (12:00pm – 4:00pm). We have the ability to change your heat times so long as you check in with the race marital at the start line within 15 minutes of the heat time you are switching to.

Yes, you may change your heat time so long as you report to the race marital 15 minutes before the start of the heat you wish to move to. This is on a first come first serve basis. We have a maximum number of competitors that can be released from the start line during each heat. If you would like to run with a large team in one heat please contact us at Mudocalypse Support with the Team Name and Team Members 10 days prior to the race.

We cannot add participants to a team post registration do to a limitation of the registration software. But, participants have the ability to add themselves to a team post registration. Please follow the steps:
- Log into the My Events web page
- Under the event registration, select Join Team
- Select radio button in front of the team that will be joined
- Click the Join button
- Enter the team password if prompted
NOTE The participant must claim their registration for this option to show on the My Events web page.
NOTE The team name will not appear under the registration information.
NOTE The team captain will be notified when a participant joins their team in the Team Center.
NOTE This option must be turned on under the Team Configuration > Self-registration team settings to be available to registrants.
NOTE Team creation fees will not be applied when post-registration teams are created.
NOTE Custom team form questions will not be included when post-registration teams are created or joined.
We will count your spectator entrance fee towards your entrance fee to the race.
